Is attending college a matter of public record?
I am currently an undergrad student–a sophomore in college. Can state or federal agencies or just anyone look up whether or not a person is a current full-time student?
Can government agencies, such as welfare or social services agencies (DSHS, etc.) look up if you are currently a full-time student, or is this information confidential.

No. The college must have your consent to release your name and other personal information. So not just anyone can look up if you’re attending or not. Now in the matter of financial aid from the government or being re-embursed for grades if you don’t provide proof to your employer then they’re not going to give you the money. If you don’t sign up for that many courses and don’t recieve federal aid the school will tell you you’re not eligable.
Does that help?
Good luck.
