I just found that my credit card company obtain a judgement in new york civil court and this show in my public record section of my credit reports. I am not a US citizen. Will I have trouble at the airport when I fly into USA?

in addition, how do i solve this problem? do i call the civil court and pay them? or i call the credit card company? i can afford paying them this. i want to get rid of this trouble if i can just pay them.

what will happen if i don’t pay them?

    G’day na498,

    Thank you for your question.

Your credit card debt is a civil matter and so you wouldn;t be arrested for it. Of course, you should make every effort to clear up the problem.

    Regards

Credit problems do not affect your entry into the US. If you owe the money, you can contact the credit card company and arrange to pay it. Either way it will not affect your entry into the US. Welcome back.
