From Transunion I got a Public Record Notice?
In 2001 I defaulted on a credit card with Dillards for 1477 dollars. I got an email with an alert from Transunion saying, Bankruptcy on Public Record. Dillards filed my default included in bankruptcy. Does this mean anything? When I called Experian they said they couldnt find any public records.

Why did you not call Trans-Union..? Anyway Experian may not have the data yet (they’re usually the last to report correctly). It sounds as though they are writing off the default and Dillards if filing bankruptcy. If you filed bankruptcy then your defaulted debt is file in your BK. Call Trans-Union.

You are going to have to contact Transunion to dispute it. Remember, Transunion typically keeps things on file until the latest day possible, The other 2 bureaus do not, but may report only changes
